If you've been following me here on DA at all, you've heard about my graphic novel "Casefile: Arkham", with art by me and writing by Josh Finney. Well, great news - it's been nominated for the Ghastly Awards in two categories: Best Original Graphic Novel (OGN) and best inking (that's me!). It's quite an honor to be up for these awards.

Here's where to vote! If you've done any work in comics PLEASE use the "Pro Ballot" side, because your vote will count more. But if you are NOT a "pro", vote anyway! Everything helps. Needless to say, please vote for me and Casefile: Arkham if you think I deserve a nod. Your help would mean a lot to me and the C:A team.

In case you are new to my stuff, here's a DA gallery with lots of pages from the book, so you know what you're getting into...

And if you feel like owning a copy of your very own, here's where to buy one!

Thank you in advance for your votes! Let's see if we can get our labor of love an award, and possibly a little more publicity.

It's your last chance!
Our second CASEFILE: ARKHAM graphic novel, entitled "Her Blood Runs Cold" has been funded, so if you want to get in on a great book that will definitely get to you with a quality story and package, time is running out!

FIRST... Here's the link: kck.st/2bDFlN1

"Casefile: Arkham" follows the story of Hank Flynn, P.I., working the strange cases of Arkham Massachusetts in the post-WWII era. Along with his girlfriend (Glynda, a witch of the VERY old religions) he investigates the strange, dangerous and disturbing underbelly of H.P. Lovecraft's world, told from in the style Detective Noir fiction, with stylish black & white art - by me! :)

If any of those things are your jam, you WILL love this, I guarantee. But if you want to see some of the art from the previous volume, and some pages from the upcoming book, check them out here on my Casefile: Arkham gallery: patrickmcevoy.deviantart.com/g…

You might have seen a few of the pin-ups I've been posting recently. First THANKS for all the great feedback on those. Prints of these characters from the book are available on our Kickstarter --
ANY PACKAGE of the "Dames of Arkham" level ($45) OR ABOVE will receive ALL pin-up prints along with all the other items in that package. Amazing but true! And there will now be at least FIVE pinups for the same price, thanks to help from our fans in reaching stretch goals.

Please take a look at the campaign soon. You can even order the FIRST book through there too, along with pre-ordering the second. It's a total win!

Thanks, and may the Old Ones be with you...

Casefile: Arkham - Her Blood Runs Cold, page 10
OK, we've reached the end - the Casefile: Arkham book 2 Kickstarter ends in 26 hours from this post! Take a look if you haven't yet - it promises to be a great follow up to our first graphic novel, released earlier this year. Here's the link: kck.st/2bDFlN1

In this scene, a couple of Innsmouth Mob members seem to have come to a sticky end, and our femme fatale Asenath Waite coldly observes the carnage.

Casefile: Arkham pin-up incentive #3, Asenath
Our new Kickstarter campaign "Her Blood Runs Cold", the newest "Casefile: Arkham" graphic novel, is our own brand of Lovecraftian horror meets detective Noir, set in the post-war 1940's.  Here's one of the pin-ups in the "Dames of Casefile: Arkham" incentive, Asenath Waite, the femme fatale of our story. A woman best avoided. Especially if you find yourself falling in love...  Done in an Art Nouveau style just for fun! Asenath was originally a character in a Lovecraft story "The Thing on the Doorstep".

This is important: ANY PACKAGE of the "Dames of Arkham" level ($45) OR ABOVE will receive ALL three pin-up prints along with all the other items in that package. Amazing but true!

Casefile: Arkham pin-up incentive #2
Have you backed our Kickstarter for "Her Blood Runs Cold", the newest "Casefile: Arkham" graphic novel? It's just what you need: Lovecraftian horror meets detective Noir in the swinging  1940's.  Here's one of the pin-ups in the "Dames of Casefile: Arkham" incentive, Glynda the good witch, who appeared in the first volume of "Casefile: Arkham" (available on Amazon and book stores everywhere). She's dressed in period-appropriate lingerie, and I thought it would be fun to do this one in the style of Alberto Vargas, popular pin-up artist of the era.

ANY PACKAGE of the "Dames of Arkham" level ($45) OR ABOVE will receive ALL three pin-up prints along with all the other items in that package. Amazing but true!

I'm afraid that one got pushed back until next year. :( Keep an eye out here though, and I'll definitely keep everyone informed. WWK was such a time-consuming project that we decided to skip to volume 2 of Casefile: Arkham instead, which we can get out more quickly and then go on to WWKII.

Thanks for asking!

Oh well, I can understand that it's a time consuming project but pushing it to next year's , it's kind of sad. I really wanted to read more of World War Kaiju but we'll that's life. We all can't keep promises and it makes sense. Let's hope people aren't going to go crazy when they find out it's been delayed until next year which Suck.

Thanks for replying

Yeah, it's tough having to put it off. We really wanted to get back to the WWK world sooner than later, but the publisher could only put so many books on the schedule for the year, so WWK was pushed because of the time it takes to produce.  And it takes time because we really care about the story and the quality. I'm happy to hear that you do too! Thank you very much for writing.
