Fall of Cthulhu 10 cover by PatrickMcEvoy Fall of Cthulhu 10 cover by PatrickMcEvoy
This was the cover for Fall of Cthulhu #10 (As I've mentioned elsewhere, a simply INCREDIBLE series written by Michael Nelson, from Boom! Studios). It was also used as the cover for Boom!'s "Fall of Cthulhu Cover Gallery" book.

As always, shuddery and atmospheric. The mix of blue, violet, and red is perfect.

Refresh my memory, is this where {*SPOILER ALERT!*} Connor finally becomes the Vessel of Gith, while his brain remains in a jar staring at its reflection in a mirror? I thought that was a great way to end "The Gathering" arc.

Thanks! And yes, that's the very one indeed. Creepy stuff!

Michael Alan Nelson is a pure genius at this game...I'm receiving The Gray Man in the mail. I don't know how it could beat The Fugue or The Gathering, they're so good.

Yes! We've chatted at several conventions, at the Boom! booth. He's smart, cheerful and really displays no signs of having travelled to dark dimensions of insanity. ;)

Was he at this year's NY Comic Con?

I've never been to that one! :( I always meet up with him out here on the west coast.

i always loved this one.

the colour choice makes an already imposing, demonic type persona even creepier! the blue-violet-red palette was genius~

*blush* Well, I'll let you in on a secret - I simply love doing bright primary-color palettes for creepy scenes. In fact, the more supernatural-horror, the more I try to go against expectations and use candy colors! My perverse nature, I suppose. ;)
