This was the cover for Fall of Cthulhu #10 (As I've mentioned elsewhere, a simply INCREDIBLE series written by Michael Nelson, from Boom! Studios). It was also used as the cover for Boom!'s "Fall of Cthulhu Cover Gallery" book.
*blush* Well, I'll let you in on a secret - I simply love doing bright primary-color palettes for creepy scenes. In fact, the more supernatural-horror, the more I try to go against expectations and use candy colors! My perverse nature, I suppose.
i like it! people that stick to the typical black/red/occasional sickening green are missing out! pinks and lilacs and baby blues, now things like that just mess with someone's core, because your brain is not just reacting to the expected image, now it's got an extra layer of "oh, that's just NOT RIGHT!" screaming inside!
