Time to catch up on Podcast news - specifically, NINJA MOUNTAIN, the podcast for illustrators of cool stuff.

Episode 22 features the first appearance of Eric Lofgren, and the subject is drawing - the hows, whats and whys of perhaps the most important aspect of illustration. Socar, Jeremy and I join in the fun.

Episode 23 features the return of our pal Kieran Yanner, and we all discuss ways to stay interested and fresh as the years go by. As well as gripping tales of adventure and tragedy.  And a bit of rap.

By the way, have you talked about agents on any of these yet? Whether you have art agents and whether they're worth getting. Another question would be how much direction clients tend to give when they commission illustrations, and how much design freedom you have.

I think we touched on agents in one of the earlier episodes, but I don't think we've spent a lot of time on the subject. Mostly because only a couple of us have ever used them! :) Personally, if I do ever decide to get more work from book covers I'll definitely look into them, but for all the work I've done so far (mostly games, multimedia/video games, small-press books, and comics) they aren't generally used.
